Mechanical Engineer 3

Lam Research•Tualatin, OR

About The Position

As a Mechanical Engineer in Lam Research’s Global Products Group, you will design and define mechanical and electro-mechanical systems for etch and deposition products. The role supports the full life cycle of these systems, from concept through productization, and includes feasibility studies, design, fabrication guidance, and testing and validation. You will provide design information that shapes technology packaging and collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to develop manufacturable, high-quality, cost-optimized solutions that meet requirements. The position includes engineering analyses and design documentation, communicating design intent and validation through reports and presentations, and providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers. Lam describes flexible work-location models for some roles, including On-site Flex and Virtual Flex; the posting does not specify which model applies to this position.
