About The Position

Are you a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and seeing your work directly impact aircraft reliability and safety? Join our team and play a key role in developing innovative FAA-compliant repair solutions for commercial and military aerospace components. In this role, you'll collaborate with customers, technicians, and engineering teams to evaluate repair opportunities, develop FAA repair solutions, support certification activities, and drive projects from concept through implementation. You will have the opportunity to work on diverse aerospace components, build technical expertise, and make meaningful contributions within an FAA Part 145 Repair Station environment. Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or higher from an accredited university.
Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience in a regulated industry such as aerospace, aviation, defense, manufacturing, or related fields.
Strong technical problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Positive attitude, adaptability, and a continuous-learning mindset.
Ability to understand both technical details and broader business objectives.
Customer-focused with the ability to build strong professional relationships.
Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-marking, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
Due to government contract requirements, candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting FAA certification activities or aerospace component repairs preferred.
Experience with engineering analysis tools, including FEA.

Responsibilities

Develop, evaluate, and implement FAA-compliant repair solutions for aerospace components.
Analyze component failures and determine technically feasible repair strategies.
Perform engineering assessments utilizing analytical tools, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
Support Designated Engineering Representative (DER) repair development activities.
Review designs and repairs for compliance with engineering principles, FAA regulations, customer requirements, and industry standards.
Investigate and resolve technical and production challenges to support operational success.
Lead engineering projects from planning through execution.
Define project scope, milestones, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
Coordinate cross-functional activities involving engineering, operations, quality, and customers.
Build strong customer relationships by providing technical expertise and responsive support.
Prepare technical reports, project updates, and engineering documentation.
Contribute to process improvements that enhance repair capabilities, efficiency, and quality.
Support a culture of innovation, safety, and operational excellence.
Collaborate with team members across engineering, quality, and production to achieve business objectives.
Promote and maintain compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
