Mechanical Engineer – Entry Level
About The Position
As a mechanical engineer for the Security programs, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for Designing, Testing, Implementing, Building, and Installing equipment on multiple Navy platforms. We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: Electromechanical equipment design, Electronics Packaging design, Production Support, Installation Support, Environmental Testing, Modeling & Analysis, and/or Drawing development. Basic understanding of CAD tools to create mechanical models and drawings. Basic knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods, as well as technical, government, and industry standards. Creative thinker supporting a team in the preparation of project design, testing, and prototype fabrication. Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success. Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others. Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
- Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire.
- Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
