About The Position

The Mechanical Engineer will support the development and launch of complex system-level products from concept through high-volume manufacturing. The role drives mechanical design, prototyping, product validation, and manufacturing transfer in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

The engineer will lead mechanical design and development, support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, and apply DFM/DFA principles to improve manufacturability, quality, and cost. The role also involves preparing CAD models, drawings, bills of materials, and engineering documentation; resolving product and manufacturing issues; and supporting suppliers, contract manufacturers, engineering changes, design reviews, and product lifecycle management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in mechanical design and NPI for system-level or electromechanical products.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, NX, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of DFM, DFA, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with prototype builds, product validation, and manufacturing transfer.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with semiconductor equipment, optical/photonics products, robotics, automation systems, or precision electromechanical assemblies.
• Familiarity with PLM, ERP, and change control processes.
• Lean, Six Sigma, or PMP certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and development of system-level products.
• Support NPI activities, including prototyping, qualification, pilot builds, and production ramp.
• Apply DFM/DFA principles to improve manufacturability, quality, and cost.
• Develop CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Optical, Systems, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.
• Drive root cause analysis and resolution of product and manufacturing issues.
• Work with suppliers and contract manufacturers to support production readiness and volume manufacturing.
• Support ECOs, design reviews, and product lifecycle management.
