About The Position

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a passionate and talented Building Mechanical Engineer to help shape the future of high-speed rail in Canada. This role involves designing and supporting the design of building mechanical systems (plumbing, heating, cooling, ventilation, controls) in compliance with energy efficiency and sustainability standards. The engineer will work within a strong and skilled project team and an effective technological environment, preparing and reviewing drawings, specifications, and technical reports, and providing technical support to project managers and design teams. The role also includes performing design-related calculations and cost estimates, carrying out coordination and site follow-up, monitoring construction activities, and resolving technical issues. Coordination of the multidisciplinary building mechanical and electrical design team is essential to ensure compliance with client requirements, project schedules, and budgets. The engineer will also coordinate all project activities (technical, contractual, and financial) and ensure communication with the client, in collaboration with project directors, and assess risks to propose optimal strategies for project success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng) with Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO).
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in building Mechanical engineering within a consulting engineering firm.
  • Relevant experience in project coordination.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Revit.

Responsibilities
