About The Position

As a Mechanical Design Engineer for the Autonomous Maritime Platforms Business, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for the design and development of advanced autonomous subsea systems and vehicles. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field.
  • 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree and 6 months of job-related experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Knowledge of autonomous/unmanned undersea vehicle (AUV/UUV) technologies, principles, theories, and concepts.
  • Familiar with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Creative thinker ready to design and develop innovative solutions from conception to production.
  • Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success.

Nice To Haves

  • Agile experience preferred.
  • Mechanical Engineering Design.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks and PTC Windchill Software.
  • Engineering background in the Undersea Domain.
  • Hands-on experience assembling prototype systems.
