About The Position

Reputable multidisciplinary design firm is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their Des Moines team! This role involves providing high-level project design and review, ensuring design quality for complex projects across various sectors. The engineer will lead QA/QC initiatives, develop standards and guidelines, and serve as an advisor on complex projects, making recommendations and decisions on project design work. The position also focuses on promoting efficiencies and high-quality output within the team, delivering high-quality engineering designs, and mentoring/training junior staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• 6+ years of progressive engineering experience
• PE License
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
• Comprehensive understanding of International Building Codes
• Authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level project design/review of project documents
• Ensure design quality for complex projects across various sectors
• Lead QA/QC initiatives/develop standards and guidelines
