About The Position

Toyota Material Handling North America is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to develop frame, body, and cabin components for electric forklifts. The role involves designing and releasing components for new forklift models and product options, including welded steel assemblies, castings, plastic and rubber components, multi-part assemblies, and electrical components. The engineer creates 3D models, drawings, and study files in Creo and manages design data in PDM systems. Designs must meet performance, durability, reliability, cost, quality, manufacturability, and delivery requirements. The Mechanical Engineer validates component designs using FEA, helps define system parameters and testing requirements, and maintains engineering documentation such as DFMEAs, bills of materials, and engineering change orders and instructions. The role also plans component development schedules, participates in design reviews, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and serves as a project design lead with minimal direction. This is an in-person position at the company’s Greene, New York office. Salary is $94,020–$120,537 per year, depending on the selected candidate’s education and experience. The role may be eligible for relocation assistance.
