Salas O’Brien is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a fast-paced, multi-discipline team in their Seattle office. This role will primarily focus on engineering and designing projects for Data Centers, Telecom, Federal/DoD, and other highly sophisticated facilities. Requirements
- Proficiency in using engineering tools and software including Autodesk software (Revit, Navisworks)
- Flexibility and willingness to work on various projects and tasks, embracing new challenges with enthusiasm
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative to drive projects forward
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
- Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Desire to learn and grow
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Auto CAD, Revit, and MS Office
- Ability to travel
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 2-5 years experience in Mechanical Engineering
Nice To Haves
- Registration as EIT or PE preferred
Responsibilities
- Develop HVAC system designs of a given project based on scope of work and/or client RFPs
- Provide engineering design, evaluation, and planning of mechanical systems for a variety of market types
- Conduct existing building surveys and documentation of existing HVAC systems
- Perform Load/Energy calculations with a variety of software as dictated by Client standards
- Write/edit project specifications
- Develop system design calculations and selection of equipment for use in buildings
- Prepare detailed design documents, reports, and studies
- Complete code compliance research
- Collaborate with teammates from other design disciplines to deliver a well-coordinated project
- Provide construction administration services
- Perform QA/QC of design work
