About The Position

IMI plc is a global specialist engineering company that creates breakthrough solutions in fluid and motion control applications. They design, build, and service highly engineered products for five market sectors: Industrial Automation, Process Automation, Climate Control, Life Science, and Transport. IMI is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer for a Ball Valve Manufacturing Company based in the Irwin area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and devices, contributing to innovative projects and the success of the engineering team.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in mechanical or other Engineering track
Four or more years actual engineering work experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment working on multiple projects simultaneously

Nice To Haves

3D modeling experience (PTC Creo preferred)
Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Office (Word, Excel, etc.)

Responsibilities

Lead design team in preparation of assembly and component drawings for sales orders, inquiries, and new product development using PTC Creo software
Maintain configurations, bills of material, and component/assembly data in ERP software
Work with assembly, manufacturing, and quality assurance departments to resolve production issues
Provide pre- and post-sales technical support for customers, representatives, and the sales and marketing department
Perform design, layout, testing, and evaluation of products, including integration of automation
Serve as project coordinator on sales orders requiring ongoing technical guidance and oversight to maintain information flow between customer and departments within the organization (engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, etc.)
Participate in committees and project groups for activities (QA audits, Safety, ASME, CGA, etc.)
