About The Position

Are you looking for an opportunity to be a part of a new, emerging nuclear market? We are seeking experienced Mechanical Design Engineers to join our Nuclear Mechanical Engineering Estimating team. You will be involved with the earliest phase of engineering for nuclear projects by creating engineering deliverables to support cost estimates. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, or nuclear engineering from an accredited four-year university.
• 3-5+ years in design engineering
• Proficient in ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes.
• Skilled in engineering design principles (pump calculations, pipe sizing calculations, basic equipment specification).
• Familiar with creating P&ID, PFD, and general arrangement drawings.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, organization, analytical thinking, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Create and assess concept drawings (P&ID’s, equipment specifications) for equipment using multidisciplinary input.
• Review designs, specifications, and drawings to understand the scope of the project/estimate.
• Perform equipment and pipe sizing calculations.
• Identify, define, and resolve issues within assigned scope.
• Occasional travel required (less than 10%).
