About The Position

This Engineering role can be filled at the Entry, Mid-level or Senior Engineer level. The Primary Purpose of this Position is to perform advanced technical/engineering problem solving in support of nuclear plant operations. The role is responsible for technical decisions and requires excellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application, along with detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations. The Primary Duties and Accountabilities include providing in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs. This includes providing technical expertise and consultation through direct involvement to identify and resolve equipment and system problems, and performing complete task management of engineering issues. The engineer will perform engineering tasks as assigned by supervision, applying engineering principles, and will be accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work, ensuring proper configuration management and assuring that standard design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes are used in the preparation of plans and specifications. Additionally, the role involves performing independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses in support of technical projects and programs, and recommending equipment, new concepts, and techniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design or material flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations. The position may also require performing other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear) with 3 years of nuclear experience or related engineering experience
  • Must meet additional requirements as outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 (4.3.4) Standard, "Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants".
  • Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
