About The Position

The ADGS Custom Solutions Automation team in Santa Rosa, CA is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer in support of robotic test automation development and deployment. This person will work on a collaborative, fast paced team to ensure future Keysight products continue to achieve a low cost of test through automation. This is an R&D Engineer 4, Hardware position.

Requirements

BSME/MSME or equivalent
6-7 years of experience in the mechanical design and implementation of robotics systems
Ability to develop effective designs and solutions quickly and efficiently
Proficient in Siemens NX and Teamcenter
Experience with ADCS automation database
Knowledge of Yellowstone automation systems
Strong work ethic
Able to demonstrate analytic skills such as FEA for mechanical and thermal systems
Must have sound knowledge of mechatronic engineering principals
Ability to read and understand pneumatic and electrical schematics
Ability to design simple electrical and pneumatic circuits and create schematics
Can work independently or collaboratively as required
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
Strong computer skills (CAD, MS Office, Data Collection & Analysis)
Must demonstrate competence in mechanical assembly and fabrication techniques
Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, coworkers, and customers
Must be a “hands on” engineer willing to work with the build team
Must be a US Person

Nice To Haves

Ability to use common machine shop tools is a bonus

Responsibilities

Design new automated mechatronic systems as required to meet the needs of more complex and higher frequency products
Provide engineering support of new product integration into test automation solutions
Develop and adapt current test automation solutions to meet new product requirements
Create full detail CAD models, 2D drawings, and BOMs in support of entire product lifecycle
Maintain BOMs and maintenance documentation
Look for opportunities to incorporate new technologies into existing automation that will decrease cost and increase reliability
