About The Position

As a mechanical engineer for Intelligence Systems, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for design, analysis (thermal and structural), documentation (including drawings) of hardware elements, including hardware for undersea applications. This role is mostly on site, with opportunity to work from home occasionally (flex on site). While on-site, you will be a part of the Florham Park, NJ technical community.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus 6 months relevant experience.
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
U.S. citizenship is required.
Proficiency with modeling CAD tools to create mechanical models and drawings.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods, as well as technical, government, and industry standards.
Creative thinker capable of leading a team in the preparation of project design, testing, and prototype fabrication.

Nice To Haves

CAD design proficiency (preferably CREO) and associated PDM data base administration.
Electronic packaging (design and thermal analysis).
Familiarity with fiber optics and optical systems.
