About The Position

Millennium Corporation is hiring an Mechanical Engineer to join our Stafford, VA. The candidates MUST have an active secret clearance to qualify for consideration. The selected candidate will: Review, develop, and comment on technical documentation (requirements, CAD files, test plans/reports, technical review documents, engineering change documents); Conduct technical analyses, and attend design and Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) reviews;Witness the integration of hardware onto the platforms and the execution of tests, and review test plans and reports; Develop Informational Briefs and provide results to the Government in time to support the schedule associated with each task; Technical/engineering support to Equipment Specialists for execution of DLA-339s (knowledge of the -339 and overall DLA provisioning process; data rights); Technical/engineering support to Equipment Specialists for execution of Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDR) (knowledge of the PQDR process; data rights; root cause analysis); and Represent the Program Office on site and provide the primary communication conduit for engineering issues related to the Depot PoP and Inspect and Repair Only As Necessary (IROAN) of Amphibious Combat Vehicles (ACV) (manufacturing processes; plant operations; production quality).

Requirements

  • Candidate must have an active secret clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering field and 4-6 years of related professional experience
  • Experience in providing engineering support to a defense acquisition program.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience reviewing and developing engineering design changes, conducting technical analyses, and reporting findings.
  • Proficiency in developing and commenting on various engineering documents (Specifications, ICDs, ECPs, Test Plans/Reports, Engineering Analyses, DLA Form 339s).
  • Familiarity with the latest Engineering Standards for systems engineering, engineering technical data packages and engineering drawing standards.
  • Participated in technical analyses and design change reviews and witnessed integration of hardware onto the platform.
  • Participated in the planning and execution of test events, to include reviewing and providing comment to test plans and reports.
  • Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at a time.

  • Assist with Business Development activities as required to support Millennium's strategic business objectives, which may include but not limited to participation in technical interviews, creation of technical documentation, general proposal writing support and proposal color reviews.
