About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer capable of leading the full development cycle of machines or equipment, from initial concept through to commissioning at the client’s site. The selected candidate will play a key role in the design, manufacturing, testing, and implementation of systems in an industrial environment.

Requirements

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in mechanical design or industrial equipment development.
  • Proven ability to lead design projects end-to-end (concept, design, manufacturing, testing, and commissioning).
  • Strong skills in reading and producing technical drawings, including GD&T/tolerancing.
  • Good knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience working with suppliers and in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bilingual in French and English (essential for frequent communication with clients and suppliers).
  • Availability to travel (valid, unrestricted passport required).
  • Hands-on mindset, autonomy, and strong problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (an asset).
  • Knowledge of Spanish is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop machines or equipment from initial concept through to final realization.
  • Produce detailed designs including technical drawings, tolerancing, material selection, and appropriate component selection.
  • Ensure communication and technical support with suppliers to obtain parts that meet requirements, and participate in their acceptance in collaboration with quality inspection.
  • Create assembly drawings and work closely with assembly and production teams to ensure proper integration of equipment.
  • Plan, supervise, and execute testing of designed systems, analyze results, and implement necessary adjustments to achieve expected performance.
  • Support projects through to final validation, including factory testing and on-site installation at the client’s location.
  • Interact directly with clients throughout the approval process, both internally and on-site.
