About The Position
Exciting and highly rewarding opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a focus on manufacturing and heavy Industrial projects looking to join the team in Duluth! This is a hybrid position.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- PE License
- 6+ years of mechanical design experience in heavy industrial or mining environments
- Experience leading design efforts and mentoring junior engineers
- Experience leading technical design efforts across disciplines
- Previous design experience in mining or industrial facilities
- Successful applicants must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.
Nice To Haves
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and/or Plant 3D
Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design for industrial facilities (mining and production operations)
- Serve as technical leader on projects from start to finish
- Build/maintain client relationships
- Design/oversee systems (Industrial ventilation/dust collection, process piping, pumping, and plumbing, and balance-of-plant/material handling support systems)
- Scope project requirements, verify calculations, and validate equipment selection
- Prepare/review drawings, specifications, and technical reports
- Coordinate with other teams
- Mentor/train junior staff
- Support construction administration/site visits as needed
- Assist with project coordination, client interactions, and/or proposals
