About The Position

Arconic is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for its Plate Mill Department in Davenport, IA. This role is crucial for ensuring the Plate Mill department safely meets Arconic’s business plan for engineering, production, maintenance, and quality standards. The Mechanical Engineer will be a key team member focused on optimizing the safety, efficiency, output, and quality of plant infrastructure and manufacturing processes. Responsibilities include mechanical system integration for assigned area projects to create, sustain, or improve manufacturing infrastructure, equipment, and processes. This position requires self-directed work and collaboration with engineers, technical staff, maintenance, and production teams.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Experience in mechanical system integration.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Understanding of manufacturing infrastructure, equipment, and processes.
This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Authorizations from the relevant government agency may be required to meet export control compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

Provide services to the Plate Mill department to safely meet Arconic’s business plan for engineering, production, maintenance, and quality standards.
Serve as a critical team member to optimize the safety, efficiency, output, and quality of plant infrastructure and manufacturing processes.
Responsible for mechanical system integration for assigned area projects to create, sustain, or improve manufacturing infrastructure, equipment, and processes.
Engage in self-directed work and collaborative efforts with a team of Engineers, Technical staff, maintenance, and production across the department.
