About The Position

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Washington, DC. This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with a CI polygraph. The position involves developing and reviewing planning documents, conducting building code compliance evaluations, and performing peer reviews of technical reports. You will be responsible for developing design concepts and detailed mechanical system designs, coordinating with other disciplines, and supporting project activities throughout the design, bid, and construction phases. The role also includes developing project schedules, conducting cost-benefit and feasibility studies, developing lifecycle cost estimates, and potentially serving as a project or team lead. Additionally, you will develop scopes of work, provide contract administration support, and lead the production of design and technical documentation, ensuring adherence to technical and design standards.

Requirements

  • Must have an active TS/SCI with a CI polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 7+ years of experience
  • EIT Certificate required
  • Experienced user on commonly used CADD software, including REVIT
  • Must be able to travel 10-20% including OCONUS

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer License
  • Ability to develop working knowledge of all technical requirements of projects
  • Certified Building Commissioning Professional certification preferred
  • Autodesk Certified Professional preferred
  • Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification preferred

Responsibilities
