About The Position

As a Mechanical Engineer, your role will encompass the full lifecycle of product development, from initial design to final implementation. You will be responsible for designing mechanical and electromechanical products and systems, developing and testing specifications and methods, and performing engineering duties in the planning, design, installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment. This includes conducting experiments, analyzing data, and interpreting results to ensure products meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Proven working experience in mechanical engineering.
  • Working experience with product lifecycle management (PLM), finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
  • Hands-on experience with computer-aided engineering (CAM) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAE).
  • Familiarity with 2D or 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ProE or other).
  • Adequate knowledge of engineering analysis tools (ANSYS, ProMechanica or similar).
  • Mathematical computing and analysis tools knowledge (Matlab, Excel, LabView etc).
  • Solid understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science etc.
  • Creativity and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Technical writing skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
  • Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software and drafting procedures.
  • Excellent prioritization and project development skills.

Responsibilities

  • Designing mechanical and electromechanical products and systems by developing and testing specifications and methods.
  • Performing engineering duties in planning and designing tools, engines, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment.
  • Overseeing installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of such equipment.
  • Performing full lifecycle product development.
  • Designing systems and components that meet needs and requirements.
  • Conducting experiments methodically, analyzing data and interpreting results.
  • Evaluating mechanical and electromechanical systems and products by designing and conducting research programs, applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials.
  • Confirming system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods, testing properties.
  • Developing mechanical and electromechanical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; soliciting observations from operators.
  • Developing manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.
  • Assuring system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished-product and system capabilities; confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.
  • Preparing product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Providing engineering information by answering questions and requests.
  • Maintaining product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
  • Keeping equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special services.
  • Maintaining system and product database by writing computer programs and entering data.
  • Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Assessing project requirements.
  • Measuring the performance of mechanical components, devices, and engines.
  • Approving budgets, costs, timelines, and specifications on new and existing products with clients and product development team.
  • Maintaining and modifying equipment to ensure that it is safe, reliable, and efficient.
  • Using computer-aided design/modelling software.
  • Liaising with suppliers.
  • Undertaking relevant research.
  • Producing and implementing designs and test procedures.
  • Presenting designs to managers and clients.
  • Testing, evaluating, modifying and re-testing products.
  • Providing technical advice.
  • Analyzing and interpreting data.
  • Performing a full lifecycle product development (design, develop, test prototypes, manufacture and implement).
  • Designing systems and components that meet needs and requirements.
  • Producing outline designs.
  • Testing and evaluating theoretical designs.
  • Identifying, formulating, and producing effective solutions to emerging problems.
  • Evaluating final product’s overall performance, reliability, and safety.
  • Altering and modifying designs to meet requirements and to eliminate malfunctions.
  • Estimating budget and scope of project.
  • Soliciting observations from operators.
  • Preparing product reports and documentation.
  • Engaging in lifelong learning and developing new theories or methods.
  • Managing and working with a small team of toolers for the creation of new products.
  • Working on issues of flow and manufacturing on the production floor.
  • Keeping in compliance with the air permitting of the facility.
  • Responsible for all other tasks/duties as assigned or necessary to successfully meet the goals and mission of the organization.
