Within P&WC, the Test Facilities Engineering team is responsible for designing, building, and adapting test cells for all engine families and their components to meet the demanding requirements of each engine test. Equipment commissioned by our technical crew is essential for engine certification and performance validation before delivery to customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 4 to 7 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in project management
  • PEO member
  • Excellent communication skills ( Verbal & Written)

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of gas turbine test cells
  • Experience with hydraulic dynamometers
  • Experience with hydraulic/pneumatic systems
  • Knowledge of piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID)
  • Knowledge of MS Project
  • Collaboration skills
  • Schedule and budget driven

Responsibilities

  • Carry out test cell adaptation projects along with their associated equipment according to the needs of the various engine programs.
  • Prepare specifications for the various equipment and systems required.
  • Participate in design reviews and will be supported by our designers to produce models and manufacturing drawings.
  • Consider the various environmental, health and safety requirements.
  • Perform risk analysis activities when required.
  • Ensure that internal standards and lessons learned are incorporated into your projects.
  • Approve the engineering documents produced under your supervision.
  • Supervise the assembly of equipment with our maintenance crew or at our external suppliers.
  • Lead new equipment commissioning.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement program of our organization.
