About The Position

Stefanini, Inc. seeks a Mechanical Engineer Sr. to research and investigate the design, functionality, and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes. This role involves producing sketches, engineering drawings, and common computations, as well as reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports. The engineer will research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines, and other mechanical devices. Additionally, they will research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine time and cost feasibility for projects, and assist drafters in developing the structural design of products using tools, equipment, or software.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a foreign equivalent.
  • At least three (3) years of experience as an Engineer or a substantially similar position in the automotive industry.
  • Experience utilizing JIRA.
  • Experience utilizing Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with vehicle architecture and packaging.
  • Experience with Digital Mock-Up (DMU) validation.
  • Experience with clash detection and clearance studies.
  • Experience with space allocation requirements.
  • Experience with styling feasibility studies.
  • Experience with wire harness routing and fixation design.
  • Experience with sheet metal design.
  • Experience with injection molding.
  • Experience with Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing (DG&T).
  • Experience with stackup analysis.
  • Experience with ergonomics feasibility studies.
  • Experience with assembly feasibility studies.
