About The Position

As a key member of our Mechanical Engineering team, you will perform Mechanical Engineering development and design functions in support of Automated Test Equipment. You will develop overall Mechanical Designs, including Modeling/Model Based Design, Parts Selection, and supporting drawing documentation. You will also perform Environmental Analyses (Tip, Thermal, Shock/Vibration), apply technical knowledge to solve complex problems, and support the production environment in researching obsolescence COTS and customer hardware to meet requirements. This role involves the design, assessment, and troubleshooting of Automated Test Equipment (ATE), presenting designs for cross-functional peer reviews, and applying site policy and procedures. This position will require the selected candidate to have the ability to obtain a Secret level U.S. government security clearance. U.S. citizenship is a requirement for consideration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering related discipline
  • Demonstrated understanding of structures, mechanisms and materials
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Mechanical Design Principles including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical modeling or analysis tools, such as CREO/Solidworks
  • Understanding and ability to apply basic Mechanical Engineering principles, theories and concepts
  • Ability to obtain a Secret level U.S. government security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in Windchill/EPDM
  • Structural and thermo-structural knowledge and analysis capability is a plus
  • Prior Automated Test Equipment Experience
  • Experience with Engineering Change Control processes
