About The Position

Robson Forensic is seeking a Professional Engineer (P.E.) with a Mechanical Engineering degree and 10 or more years of experience in the startup, commissioning, maintenance, or operation of Mechanical, HVAC, and Plumbing Systems. The role requires a broad understanding of mechanical building systems, industrial process systems, and fire protection. This position involves applying these skills to determine the cause of incidents, working alongside nationally respected experts on consequential casework. The company provides comprehensive training, and prior forensic experience is not required, as they prioritize deep industry knowledge. Requirements

  • Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in startup, commissioning, maintenance, or operation of Mechanical, HVAC, and Plumbing Systems, including the design, review, and assessment of facilities/building systems.
  • Thorough working knowledge of mechanical building systems, industrial process systems, and fire protection.
  • Excellent technical, analytical, writing, and communication skills.
  • Strong ability to translate complex technical findings into clear, objective evidence for non-technical audiences.
  • A clean background screen.
  • A driver’s license and the ability to drive.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior forensic experience is not required.

Responsibilities
