About The Position

Zachry Nuclear Engineering (ZNE) is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer IV to join our growing engineering team in Stonington, CT, Perry, OH, or Charlotte, NC. At Zachry Nuclear Engineering, our engineers support some of the nation's most critical energy infrastructure through engineering design, plant modernization initiatives, system modifications, equipment upgrades, and technical consulting services for commercial nuclear power clients. As a Mechanical Engineer IV, you will take a leading role in the development of engineering solutions for complex plant challenges, capital projects, and modernization efforts. You will work alongside highly experienced engineers while providing technical guidance, supporting client initiatives, and contributing to projects that enhance plant safety, reliability, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs advanced engineering and design activities supporting commercial nuclear power plants and related facilities.
• Apply advanced engineering knowledge and professional judgment to evaluate plant systems, resolve complex technical issues, develop engineering solutions, and support major project initiatives.
• Lead engineering assignments, coordinate technical efforts, and provide guidance to junior engineers while maintaining a high standard of technical quality.
• Serve as a key contributor to project success.
• May act as a technical lead for specific projects, systems, or engineering disciplines.
