About The Position

As a Summer Intern at Black & Veatch, you will play a meaningful role in addressing some of the world’s most critical infrastructure challenges. This internship offers the opportunity to contribute to diverse, impactful projects that support our clients’ goals while fostering your professional growth and advancing the success of Black & Veatch. Join our team as a Mechanical Engineer within our Systems sub-discipline, where you'll support Water and Industrial Water projects through the design of mechanical equipment and systems used throughout the facilities we design.

Requirements

No experience required.
Current enrollment in ABET accredited university in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering program.
All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Fluids and thermodynamic courses preferred.
December 2027 and December 2028 graduates preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop, evaluate, and design specifications and contract drawings
Perform variety of tasks to support engineering analyses, report production, and designs
Prepare basic calculations
Assist in basic equipment selection
Coordinate with other disciplines
Schedule project deliverables
Collect, organize, and evaluate data
Analyze systems utilizing computer modeling
Organize and file project materials and references
