About The Position

Graco manufactures and markets premium equipment to move, measure, control, dispense and spray a wide variety of fluid and powder materials. What does that mean? Job Purpose: The Design Drafter Intern provides computer-aided design (CAD) and detail drafting support to new product development and standard product support engineering activities. This position involves producing detailed drawings and simple layouts. This internship will be part-time during school year with a flexible schedule, and full-time in the summer.

Requirements

  • Looking for students entering their second year of a two-year technical degree.
  • Thorough knowledge of mechanical design drafting practices.
  • Capable of using and applying Graco drafting standards.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • This role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship now or in the future (e.g., H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT).

Responsibilities

  • Participate in design of new products in cooperation with a design team consisting of engineers, other designers, and lab technicians.
  • Produce CAD models/detail drawings of new products.
  • Revise and redraw as required, production drawings of existing standard products.
  • Use and apply Graco drafting standards.
  • Complete ECOs by utilizing PDM and other tools.
  • Other duties as assigned.
