About The Position

Mechanical Engineer Intern Location: Flagstaff, AZ (this is an in-person position) Department: Engineering Compensation: $20/hour Position Summary: The Mechanical Engineer Intern will assist the Mechanical Engineering team with engineering change requests (MCRs), non-conformance reports (NCRs), engineering support, emergency response tasks (ERT), and design changes. The intern will also complete small purchase-order-driven engineering projects. Schedule: About 8 hours per week during school with some flexibility and 40 hours per week during holiday periods.

Requirements

• Availability throughout the school year; ideally not graduating for at least one year from start date.
• Strong SolidWorks capability demonstrated through tool test.
• Fundamental understanding of algebra and statistical concepts.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to solve basic engineering problems and interpret technical data.

Responsibilities

• Support completion of MCRs and NCRs.
• Assist with design changes and engineering support tasks using Solidworks and PDM.
• Complete small engineering projects, as assigned.
• Collaborate with team members on ad-hoc projects.
