About The Position
The Mechanical Engineer Intern will support key initiatives within the department while gaining hands-on experience in a professional corporate environment. This internship provides an opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to real business challenges, collaborate with experienced professionals, and develop valuable career skills. The intern will work on a structured project designed to address a meaningful business need, deliver measurable outcomes, be completed within the internship timeframe, provide exposure to cross-functional collaboration, and result in a final presentation and/or deliverable.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum GPA requirement: 3.0
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Understanding of analog and digital circuits.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks
- Understanding engineering drawings, tolerancing, and GD&T fundamentals.
- Previous internship or leadership experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Responsibilities
- Investigate and troubleshoot mechanical issues identified during manufacturing, testing, and field use.
- Assemble and evaluate mechanical prototypes.
- Participate in team meetings and project discussions
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners as needed
- Present project findings and recommendations at the conclusion of the internship
- Complete additional duties as assigned
