About The Position

Koch Finishing Systems provides automated finishing equipment to a variety of industries, including automotive, agriculture, general industry, aerospace, and defense. With five locations—Evansville, IN, Grand Rapids, MI, Rochester Hills, MI, Querétaro, MX, and Lichfield, UK—we are dedicated to delivering high-quality finishing solutions to clients around the world. As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will gain hands-on experience working alongside our engineering team on real-world projects. You will apply your engineering education to practical challenges while developing your technical and professional skills. You will also collaborate with Sales, Estimating, Field Services, and Manufacturing, gaining exposure to how engineering works with other areas of the business to deliver solutions for our customers.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic engineering software tools.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with CAD software, such as Inventor or AutoCAD, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design, analysis, and testing of mechanical systems and components.
• Create and update engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and documentation.
• Contribute to product development initiatives and innovation projects.
• Participate in engineering team meetings, design reviews, and other cross-functional project activities.
