About The Position

Radiance Technologies is seeking a mechanical engineering student for an intern position for summer 2026. The hired candidate will support the engineering staff in performing high energy laser test instrumentation operations and maintenance. Additionally, the hired candidate will support projects to enhance and operate a directed energy system integration laboratory. Experience with design, analysis, and fabrication is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a project group are required.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical field
• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work within a project group

Nice To Haves

• Experience with design, analysis, and fabrication
• Proficiency with MATLAB
• Proficiency with SolidWorks Design/Analysis
• Lab and design experience from class and outside projects
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Basic fabrication skills
• Self-starter
