SUMMARY The Mechanical Engineering interns are responsible for task and projects under the direction of the Engineering Manager. Projects and tasks will focus on the development, design, analysis, testing, prototyping and release of mechanical hardware for Nordco equipment.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
• GPA of 3.0+
• General Mechanical design skills
• Experience with design software, Creo preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• The ability to develop and maintain relations.
• The ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• The ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of different situations.
• A high degree of adaptability and flexibility to operate in a fast paced work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and development of Nordco's equipment and related components.
• Use Creo to complete design improvement and corrective action projects.
• Update product models and drawings for other projects of various difficulties within the Engineering Department.
• Work closely with the Engineering Department to support Production and other manufacturing initiatives.
• Utilize basic computer software to develop or maintain spreadsheets, databases, documents, and to communicate with various departments within the organization.
• Acquire, plot, and analyse data with the assistance from a mentor.
• Build relationships with people within the organization to help complete tasks
• Other job duties as assigned.
