SCOPE OF ROLE: New product development at Gast Manufacturing begins with a product definition from the product management team where the specifications of the desired product are clearly outlined. It is the role of the engineer to develop, validate and launch into production a product that meets the requirements of the product definition. Key success metrics are meeting final product cost targets as well as adherence to launch timeline and project budget.
