About The Position

Our client, a well-established manufacturer of precision pressure measurement and sensing solutions in Western New York, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to join their growing engineering team! This is an on-site/full-time/direct-hire position. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys taking products from concept through production while working on highly engineered components used in aerospace, defense, industrial, and other mission-critical applications. As a Mechanical Engineer II, you'll play a key role in the design, development, and continuous improvement of precision pressure sensing products. Working alongside cross-functional teams, you'll help transform engineering concepts into reliable, manufacturable products while supporting production and driving quality improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Approximately 3-7 years of experience in mechanical design, product development, manufacturing engineering, or related engineering roles.
  • Experience developing engineering drawings, assemblies, and controlled documentation.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, GD&T, tolerances, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with 2D/3D CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop precision mechanical components, assemblies, housings, adapters, fixtures, and related products.
  • Create and maintain detailed engineering drawings, bills of materials, manufacturing documentation, and technical reports.
  • Review customer specifications and engineering requirements to ensure products meet performance, quality, and regulatory expectations.
  • Perform mechanical design analysis including material selection, tolerance analysis, stress considerations, pressure boundary evaluation, and manufacturability assessments.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production teams throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Design tooling, fixtures, inspection equipment, and production aids that improve manufacturing efficiency.
  • Support product testing, qualification activities, and validation of new designs.
  • Investigate manufacturing issues and product performance concerns while leading or participating in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Support engineering change requests, product improvements, and new product introductions.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing, quality, and customer-facing teams as needed.
