Actual compensation may vary and may be above the posted range based on factors such as a candidate's skills, experience, education, certifications, and work location. What your job will be like: Design and analyze particle accelerator systems and components such as SRF modules, magnets, cryogenic systems, and precision alignment structures, while performing engineering analyses in heat transfer, fluid flow, vibration, and stress. Utilize CAE tools like ANSYS and 3D CAD (NX) to create designs that comply with ASME and JLab standards, document them with fabrication drawings, and present technical reports during reviews. Responsibilities also include overseeing subcontracted component fabrication, collaborating with vendors and teams, ensuring proper documentation, and applying manufacturing techniques like CNC machining, sheet metal forming, and welding for serviceable designs.
