About The Position

Engineer II independently executes engineering tasks, manages components of projects, and coordinates with multidisciplinary teams. Under minimal supervision, this role leads the design, analysis, and implementation of MEP-T systems for small to medium-sized projects and represents the firm to clients in that scope.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, or Communications Engineering.
  • 3+ years of engineering experience in the AEC industry.
  • Proficient in Revit and discipline-specific software.
  • Strong grasp of building codes and design standards.
  • Capable of guiding junior staff and leading internal reviews.
  • Able to balance multiple priorities effectively.
  • Skilled in preparing reports, proposals, and client communications.
  • Comfortable representing the firm to clients for smaller projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant professional licensure or certification preferred (EIT, PE, CPD, FPE, RCDD, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of discipline-specific systems for small to medium projects using Revit and modeling/calculation tools.
  • Assist senior engineers with complex designs, plans, and calculations.
  • Perform calculations and simulations.
  • Review product submittals and shop drawings.
  • Respond to RFIs for assigned scope.
  • Conduct site visits and prepare reports.
  • Prepare technical documentation and participate in project meetings.
  • Ensure project delivery within agreed schedules and budgets.
  • Comply with QA/QC procedures and assist in developing project workplans.
