The Test Equipment Directorate is a multi-discipline organization responsible for developing test solutions for all Raytheon products. We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology and tools, and integrate state of the art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world. T est Equipment products are located in engineering labs, in the field, and in production environments utilized for weapon system product verification, qualification, test data analysis, and production test solution development. T est Equipment has job opportunities across all phases of the engineering lifecycle, including demonstrations, early engineering tests, design verification tests, production, and sustainment. T est Equipment is looking for Mechanical Engineers to be responsible for designing, developing, documenting, and maintaining complex test environment systems for all Raytheon products.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Science , Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM
• This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
• Education and/or Experience with project work in one or more of the following: o Mechanical/electronic sub-systems packaging, material selection, thermal analysis, structural analysis, control systems, electrical hardware design, or large assembly development
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
• Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date

Nice To Haves

• 3.0 cumulative GPA desired
• Completion of 1 internship in a related field
• Experience with CAD solid modeling tools and analysis tools with an emphasis on ProE / CREO Parametric
• Experience with creating design drawing packages
• Experience in Model Based Engineering or Model Based Design
• Previous Internship and/or Co-Op

Responsibilities

• Research, plan, design and develop mechanical test systems in areas including, but not limited to, vibration, thermal, hydraulic, radio frequency, and electro-optical for production testing environment s
• Integrate and validate test systems against stringent accuracy and reliability requirement s
• Evaluate production installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions
