About The Position

As a Mechanical Engineer II E&U in our Baltimore office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all. In this role, you will exercise independent judgment to develop and document utility master plans, concept plans, and system designs from information gathered from users, project partners, field surveys, and code research. You will work on projects ranging from designing central utility plants (steam, hot water, chilled water, district energy, CHP and geothermal) for large higher education campuses, healthcare facilities, industrial/manufacturing facilities, government facilities, and plant betterment projects for utility plants.

Requirements

  • BSAE or BSME required.
  • 5+ years’ experience designing central utility plant and campus infrastructure systems in technically sophisticated facilities.
  • PE License or ability to become licensed.
  • Strong spoken and written communications skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Quick technical comprehension and motivation focused on client outcomes.
  • Able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Effective working individually and within team environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks) preferred
  • EIT certification (Passed the FE exam) a plus.
