  • 2–5 years in precision instrumentation, opto-mechanical systems, or similar
  • Strong CAD skills (Inventor/SolidWorks)
  • GD&T, tolerance analysis, material selection
  • Apply GD&T per ASME Y14.5 and maintain design documentation
  • Support engineering change orders (ECOs) and design reviews
  • Work with EE, optics, and system engineers for integration

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with optics packaging and alignment preferred
  • Familiarity with thermal and structural simulation tools
  • Preferred Experience with analytical instruments
  • Hands-on lab and prototyping skills

Responsibilities

  • Design opto-mechanical components, assemblies, and enclosures for liquid chromatography and light scattering instruments.
  • Develop precision mechanical structures for optical alignment, thermal management, and fluidics integration
  • Support product lifecycle from concept, prototyping, V&V, and design transfer.
  • Perform mechanical testing, tolerance analysis, and DOE-based validation
  • Ensure performance, reliability, and manufacturability of designs
  • Create CAD models and drawings using Autodesk Inventor (or equivalent)
  • Apply GD&T per ASME Y14.5 and maintain design documentation
