About The Position

This engineer is responsible for the structural design and reliability of refrigerated systems. The role involves project coordination from concept to production, including cross-functional approvals and change implementation. The engineer will coordinate the efforts of drafters/designers, engineering technicians, and machine shop personnel. Key responsibilities include designing and/or redesigning products to develop new ones, improve performance, and reduce costs while meeting regulatory requirements (UL, ASHRAE). The role also focuses on designing products for Manufacturability, Assembly, and Reliability, and modifying existing designs to improve cost positions.

Requirements

Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering.
Requires 1+ years of experience
Understanding of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
Able to work well with others both in and outside of the department
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Sense of ownership & urgency with projects and work assignments.
Possess good working knowledge of the following software: S-Excel 3D Modeling (SolidWorks, SolidEdge, Pro-E, etc…), AutoCAD, MS-PowerPoint, MS-Word, MS-Access a plus
Requires knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

Nice To Haves

AI a plus
Basic working knowledge of the SAP environment a plus.
Design management experience in reviewing models, drawings, and Bills of Material a plus.
Experience working with sheet metal parts and plastics a plus.
Understanding of basic refrigeration, a plus
Experience automating processes in Excel or some programing language a plus

Responsibilities

Project coordination responsibility of taking designs through the cross functional approval and change implementation from concept to production.
Coordinate the efforts of drafters/designers, engineering technicians and machine shop personnel as required by assigned projects.
Design and/or redesign products to develop new products, improve performance, and/or reduce cost while meeting regulatory requirements (UL, ASHRAE).
Design products for Manufacturability, Assembly and Reliability.
Modify existing designs to improve cost positions.
