About The Position
Vitesse Systems is looking for a Mechanical Engineer I to join the team in Longmont, Colorado! The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing and analyzing components and assemblies with a keen eye for structural integrity. The Mechanical Engineer will collaborate with RF Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering to deliver innovative and manufacturable products or our internal and external customers. Requirements
- B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- SolidWorks or similar CAD experience desired.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems is desired.
Nice To Haves
- EPDM experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Communicate technical information internally with various departments
- Design hardware based on customer specifications using SolidWorks
- Perform static and dynamic analyses (modal, static, vibration) on designed hardware based on customer specifications using NEi Nastran and Femap
- Create and maintain proper documentation associated with the design and analysis of the hardware
- Support production and test of the hardware
- Review and approve drawings using GD&T
- Adhere to government regulations, industry standards, and internal guidelines to produce quality hardware in a quality setting
- Participate in continuing process improvement
- Demonstrate company core values
