About The Position

HiFyve is hiring a Mechanical Engineer I in the manufacturing industry in Kettering, Ohio. The role combines 3D design and hands-on engineering to develop prototypes and improve laboratory and pilot-plant equipment. Requirements

• Targeting 0–2 years of experience.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling and drawing creation.
• Creative problem-solving, technical communication, and independent work skills.

Nice To Haves

• A Mechanical Engineering degree is preferred; applicable experience may be considered.
• SolidWorks is preferred.
• Manufacturing experience, especially in chemical manufacturing, is a plus.
• Basic electrical systems and chemistry knowledge are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and modify parts and assemblies using SolidWorks.
• Analyze laboratory processes and data to develop prototypes.
• Assemble, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair prototypes and equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering team members and follow laboratory safety protocols.
