About The Position

The Mechanical Engineer I is responsible for performing research, development, design, and testing of product. Design work is monitored and reviewed by a senior level engineer. Raycap, Inc. creates products that protect and support the world’s most valuable assets. We support advanced solutions for telecommunications, renewable energy, transportation, defense and other applications worldwide.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Proficiency in using solid modeling CAD software
• Proficient with MS office Products
• Ability to work to deadlines in a fast paced production environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

• 2-5 years’ experience
• experience with Inventor/SolidWorks

Responsibilities

• Work in a team environment to analyze requirements from the customer and develop design solutions
• Support on-site or remote factory production
• Complete 3D design of parts and assemblies, and create 2D part and assembly drawings using CAD software (SolidWorks/Inventor preferred)
• Participates as a drawing checker to ensure items are detailed correctly
• Participates in engineering review meetings
• Communicates with suppliers/vendors as required
• Builds and analyzes prototypes
• Conduct laboratory testing of products to ensure compliance with customer requirements and regulatory standards
• Create Operation & Maintenance Manual and/or Installation Instructions for Products
