About The Position

Assigned to small projects or discreet tasks with defined deliverables in support of Design, Build, and Verification & Validation (V&V) tasks. Assigned to small projects or discreet tasks with defined deliverables in support of build & test issue resolution. Identify opportunities for improvement in areas assigned to include design, build, and process. Evaluate and analyze mechanical hardware to determine relevancy and cost effectiveness for incorporation into current and future products as well as to include small, focused Root Cause Investigations to identify mitigations. Improve knowledge and skills related to design, build, V&V, Issue Resolution and impacts of changes to performance (both technical and programmatic) through understanding of key concepts in the Mechanical and Manufacturing disciplines. Support the selection and coordination of product vendors throughout the entire product lifecycle to include vendor qualification, issue resolution, and product acceptance. Able to design basic test and build fixtures as needed with guidance from senior engineers. Able to develop and present findings, justification for changes, and defend investigation results to senior leadership and customers. Executing test plans, collecting data, analyzing results, and providing input to test reports in support of Verification & Validation activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
