About The Position

As a Mechanical Engineer I you will primarily support design, development, and production focused on radars and supporting structures, electronic modules, power, and cooling sub-systems. The key responsibilities for this position include contributing to technical problem solving and implementing solutions in the development of new hardware in a team environment.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field (STEM)
Experience with CAD software or CREO
Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Nice To Haves

Strong aptitude for efficient and disciplined process execution, coupled with the flexibility to adapt and tailor processes as necessary for task requirements.
Proven ability to apply academic engineering principles to identify and resolve design challenges.
Comprehensive understanding of mechanical engineering design processes.
Familiarity with Mechanical Tolerance Analysis and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Responsibilities

Mechanical design and documentation of hardware and systems utilizing engineering tools, and MS office suite.
Contribute as part of a small team during product development, part and drawing creation, drawing release, and drawing change incorporation.
Creatively apply mechanical engineering knowledge to efficiently solve complex design problems and make sound and rationale data oriented technical conclusions in a fast paced, team environment.
Provide factory and supplier support.
Collaborate with other mechanical engineers, designers, and structural / thermal analysts, as well as engineers from other disciplines to support business objectives of the organization.
