Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 2–3 years of professional engineering experience
  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems, thermodynamics, and mechanical building systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Passion for learning and continuous professional development

Nice To Haves

  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or plans to pursue PE licensure
  • Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) or HVAC controls
  • Exposure to commissioning or building performance projects
  • Interest in energy engineering, sustainability, and high-performance buildings

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of energy conservation standards and engineering best practices
  • Analyze HVAC system performance and identify opportunities for optimization
  • Assist with building automation system (BAS) programming reviews and control strategies
  • Review sequences of operation and recommend performance improvements
  • Support commissioning, retro-commissioning, and measurement & verification activities
  • Analyze HVAC and BAS data to identify energy-saving opportunities
  • Prepare technical reports and engineering documentation
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams and client stakeholders
  • Ensure engineering work complies with applicable codes, standards, and best practices
