About The Position

As a Mechanical Engineer - Facilities Management Expert, you will investigate facilities and grounds maintenance and management incidents. You will analyze documents and on-site conditions to determine the facts and issues at hand, write clear, scientifically sound reports, and provide expert testimony. You will delve into the "why" behind incidents, critically assessing decision-making, operational procedures, and the standard of care. Requirements

Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
10+ years of experience as a commercial, institutional, and/or residential Facilities Manager with hands-on experience assessing, running, and troubleshooting building systems.
In-depth knowledge of facilities and grounds safety.
Excellent technical, analytical, writing, and communication skills.
Strong ability to translate complex technical findings into clear, objective evidence for non-technical audiences.
Approximately 20% travel for inspections.
Must have a clean background screen, a driver’s license, and the ability to drive.

Nice To Haves

Experience managing a winter maintenance crew is a plus.
Prior forensic experience is not required. We seek professionals eager to apply their deep industry knowledge to a challenging new domain.
