About The Position

Awesome Co-op opportunity at Ultralife! (Fall 2026 session)

With guidance of the New Product Development Engineering group, the co-op role will take on a variety of independent and team projects to support and improve the manufacturing processes of our products. These projects will span across all NPD and Manufacturing departments and will focus on increasing overall productivity. Interaction will be necessary with all levels of NPD personnel and management. This position will require both a team player and the skills and self-discipline to work independently.

Requirements

• Must be pursuing an Engineering Degree with at least three years of classroom work completed.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Good communication skills
• Understand engineering drawings and principles
• Ability to manage a varied workload in an efficient manner
• Good analytical skills
• Work well as part of a team
• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks
• Hard working, team player, “hands on” person, ready to spend time on the manufacturing floor.

Nice To Haves

• SolidWorks experience preferred, or ability to learn
• Proficient with Solidworks drawings and operation, also proficient in Draft sight (DWG’s)

Responsibilities

• Technical writing of process work instructions
• Create as-built drawing
• Support DCR's
• Process development and improvement
• Standardization and documentation of existing fixtures
• Improve existing fixtures and tooling
• Design new fixtures and tooling
• Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations
• Learn and understand the battery manufacturing process

Benefits

• The hourly rate for this position is $18-$20.
