About The Position

This is a role well suited for a highly motivated student looking to build their skill set and gain hands-on experience. As a Mechanical Engineer Co-op, you will be responsible for operating within a cross-functional team made up of both technical and non-technical team members. You will provide design concepts, material/design specifications, and detailed part and assembly drawings using Siemens NX with analysis where appropriate. You will also be responsible for providing complete design, development, and testing of your work, and communicating technical and commercial issues, including working with in-house and outsourced manufacturing in a global environment. Additionally, you will recommend new designs and processes or improvements to existing designs and processes to meet functional requirements.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program, majoring in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA (preferred)
  • Registered and eligible to participate in a co-op through your university
  • Work Authorization: Permanent work authorization in the U.S. is required

Nice To Haves

  • CAD, FEA and CFD (Siemens NX)
  • 2D drawings (with GD&T, tolerance stack up, form, fit and function consideration)
  • Structural design
  • Knowledge of electronics packaging for EMI/EMC
  • Liquid and/or air cooling of electronics
  • Interested in medical imaging and/or medical technology
  • FDA/ISO design controls
  • Motivated to learn and develop your technical skills

Responsibilities
