About The Position

As a Mechanical Engineer Co‑op, you will work with a team to provide mechanical engineering designs for large‑scale capital projects and support multiple sites and projects concurrently; you will collaborate closely with other Mechanical Engineers and project team members at a local level to help deliver safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing operations; this is a hands‑on learning opportunity where you apply your academic knowledge to real‑world engineering challenges in a dynamic, diverse environment.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
  • Must have completed at least 1 year of a Bachelor's program

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • General mechanical aptitude and interest in applying engineering principles to real‑world projects
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Good problem‑solving skills and a high degree of personal initiative
  • Excellent organization and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and within a diverse culture
  • No travel limitations

Responsibilities

  • Prepare project mechanical specifications and summaries for design packages
  • Review equipment vendor drawings and support construction activities at manufacturing sites
  • Support engineers in the development of mechanical equipment specifications and construction drawings
  • Contribute to the development of equipment checkout plans and support project checkout and startup at manufacturing sites
  • Apply basic project management skills to help coordinate tasks, timelines, and deliverables
  • Collaborate with other Mechanical Engineers and project team members to solve problems and implement practical engineering solutions
